Celebrity fragrances are a pretty big deal, and a lot of them are as popular as high end ones. Typically, they’re more affordable and that’s what draws me in to them more than anything else – I wouldn’t every buy one based on just a celebrity endorsement, but if they smell nice and are in my price range, that’s good enough for me!

ALEX by Alex Gerrard* is no exception. If you’re unsure who the namesake of this perfume is she’s ,a fash­ion column­ist and model. She also happens to be the wife of Liv­er­pool and Eng­land foot­baller Steven Ger­rard and although I wouldn’t buy this perfume just because it’s by a WAG, I would buy it for it’s smell. 

The perfume comes either as a 100ml EDT bottle (a decent amount!) or a gift set, as I have. I’m personally not a fan of the inside packaging of the gift box (too cheesy for me), but I do really like the packagig on the product bottles; simple, girly and floral – a lot like the scent itself! The set include the main fragrance bottle, a mini handbag version (which I really like, it’s super handy to carry around in my purse), a body wash and a body lotion. Over all, it reminds me a lot of the Victoria’s Secret body sprays, which I buy regularly, and with Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day coming up, it would be a pretty nice gift idea for both.
