Another month, another #LFBeautyBox review – this time it’s the turn of Lookfantastic Beauty Box March 2016 #LFExplorer. Hey, who can blame me forshouting about my favourite subscription beauty box? Not only does it make for a lovely little surprise bundle of new beauty products appearing in my post box every month, but the quality of the products and the attention to detail seems to get better every month.
The Lookfantastic Beauty Box March 2016 is based on a super cute explorer theme (hands up who’s keeping this box to store bits and bobs in?!). The theme tells the story of taking us on an a beauty adventure around the world with skincare and make-up products from New York, London and Paris. Ooh Lala!
I am never disappointed with the products in the Lookfantastic Beauty Boxes, but this month I am especially excited about the two make-up products included. Usually beauty subscription boxes contain a lot of haircare and skincare, which is cool, but I personally get really excited about makeup products I can add into my everyday routine. I also love how the Lookfantastic Beauty Box now comes with every month’s new Elle magazine – yes really! Talk about handbag essentials or what?!
This month, I received the Lottie London Shade and Shadow Brush, which I am already coverting as my new go-to eyebrow tool. This sells for £5 so is a great addition to the box. Similarly, the Revlon Colourburst Lacquer Balm included in the March Box is a full size lip colour product, selling currently for £7.99. Take these full size products into account and you’ve basically paid for your month’s subscription in one go. Everything else is just a bonus!
Another bonus is the decent sample size of the Codage Moisturising Mask. This facial mask costs £42 for a full size 50ml pot so this is the perfect way to try it out without splashing the cash. Other skincare items this month include travel sizes of the Nuxe Crème Prodigieuse Anti Fatigue Moisturising Cream, Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Oh, and this month there was a bonus of two Energen-C sachets to help keep away the Spring Sniffles!
I love how the Lookfantastic beauty box lets me discover new beauty treats each month without the commitment of having to buy a full size item from a new brand that I might not fall in love with, or alternatively, using a single sachet of cream which lasts only one use. What’s the point in that? By signing up monthly you also get a lovely little magazine with themed monthly articles and all the info you need about the products you try.
The Lookfantastic Beauty Box is dead competitively priced at just over £11 per month for a yearly subscription, so if you fancy trying out some new luxury products that don’t break the bank, then this is a good way to go.
