Spring always seems to come late to Manchester and so I expect I will still be in my winter coats for the foreseeable future. Coats are pretty much my fashion weakness. Living in the north, I tend to wear them all year round (apart from like, one sunny day a year) and so it’s important to me to have a large collection. After all, they’re the first thing anyone sees of you in an outfit, especially when they’re as bright as this Red Coat.
This mottled red and black speckled coat is one of my favourite outwear additions. It’s a very classic shape with double breasted buttons at the front and faux fur trim around the collar. Plus, red is one of my signature colours and I always have red lips to match. A red coat is a big risk but it becomes wearable when you choose sensible matching items, such as black clothing underneath.
This pussybow blouse is so beautiful that it’s almost a shame to hide it under a coat, but I can also see it going really well with flared jeans or a suede skirt when the weather gets a bit warmer. In the mean time, these strappy heels from New Look are a lovely way to pick up a bit of texture in the outfit without drawing attention away from the red coat, they’re just killer, aren’t they?

I love how you’ve styled this outfit, the coat with the the fur collar looks so cosy for this season, it’s amazing. I really like this outfit of the day! Your hair is so lovely as well :)
Thank you Angie, what a lovely comment! x
