Manchester Arndale Fashion Weekender Event November 2016

If you’re looking for something free, fun and fashioable to do this weekend in Manchester, then I gotcha covered. In celebration of new season style, this weekend,my favourite local shopping centre is putting on an event for all their customers and passersby for free. If you’re looking for a way to pass an hour whilst you’re out and about this Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th, stop by the Manchester Arndale Fashion Weekender Event November 2016.

From 10am – 6pm on Saturday 5th November and 11am – 5pm on Sunday 6th November, Manchester Arndale will be hosting a free event right in the centre of their shopping centre (just outside Next, FYI). The main feature will be a style spinner, where customers can press a big red button – quite satisfying I must admit – for the chance to win one of over 400 prizes. All you have to do to win is match three models wearing clothes from the same retailer; a bit like a giant fashion fruit machine.

I was one of a handful of bloggers and press who were invited to have a preview of the Manchester Arndale Fashion Weekender on Monday evening. As well as having a go of the style spinner where I was lucky enough to win a £10 Manchester Arndale voucher (I plan on spending mine on a nice Lush bath bomb) there were a couple of other activities going on.

We were treated to an industry talk from In Style Magazine’s fashion director Arabella Greenhill who spoke about her career history and the key Autumn Winter 2016 trends for shoppers to look out for this weekend. Some of her top picks were a bright yellow-orange bomber jacket (not sure that’s for everyone), a classic white lace blouse and cat print tops. I can get on board with a kitten or two!

Kiko makeup were also on hand to offer makeovers and talk about the key beauty trends this season. This was one of my highlights, as I absolutely love Kiko and are so pleased this wonderful, affordable and creative cosmetics company has finally made home at Manchester Arndale! They will have two makeup stations on hand all weekend to give customers makeup touch-ups as they shop.
