Outfits and pug puppies – these are a few of my favourite things! To be honest, I wasn’t sure how to angle this blog post, as I wanted to show you both my Outfit of the Day and my precious little pug Sonny. I played with both slants and in the end I decided to just go for both! I can see this becoming somewhat of a regular thing, as now Sonny is old enough to go outside he is coming with me everywhere! I mean, who could leave this sweet treasure for even a second?!
Apologies for the funny faces, but Sonny honestly just makes me so happy. He has lightened up my life so much and his funny little personality makes everything a million times more fun… Including making posing for Outfit photos a little more funny, and a lot more difficult…
MyHoundstooth Swing Dress is another gem from my favourite swing dress experts, Want That Trend. All of their items are so affordable yet such great quality and their flattering dresses come in such a variety of patterns that it’s hard to resist not buying them all!
You will have seen my George at ASDA faux fur trim coatigan a few times already before, but it’s so comfortable I can’t help but wear it. The faux fur stole attached to it helps to make it look a little bit more chic than your usual cardy, and it’s now available in white which I also think is super cute!
Accessories wise, I kept things pretty simple and monochrome, just adding in a flash of colour with my statement necklace. This sparkly number is from Happiness Boutique, a store based in Belgium and full of the most beautiful costume jewellery. They truly bring me a bit of happiness every time I wear this sparkler!
As seems usual lately, I’m again wearing my absolute shoe favourites of AW15, my knee high Sorena boots from Rocket Dog – as you can see from the pics, I think Sonny is quite taken with them, too. Perhaps it’s because they’re both dogs?!
So, on to Sonny! He’s doing so well, definitely my golden boy. He is pretty much cracking going to the toilet outside which is great for 12 weeks (although we do still have a few accidents, which is normal). He could already sit, stay and shake his paw at 10 weeks, but now he can also twirl and stay for longer. He can fetch his toys and loves chasing after his ball, although he did that pretty much from day one. The big twelve week update is that he can now go outside… Which he is a little less great at. I’m trying to get Sonny into a routine by taking him out up to 8 times a day and taking him for a walk once or twice a day, but he’s just not loving it. He hides when I get the lead out and even sits on my coat as if to say ‘if you can’t wear this, then neither of us are going out!’. He’ll walk for me if I wait long enough – patience seems to be key – but he won’t trot along for anyone other than his Momma. He’s a right Momma’s boy. The only parts of walking he enjoys is bumping into other animals, people, kids, dogs… He will get so excited to see anyone and just wants to say hello!
Over all, my 12 Week Pug Puppy update of Sonny is that he’s doing really great. He continues to be an absolute charmer and the friendliest little pug you’ll ever meet. I can’t wait to share more updates with you.
Oh and an outtake… Because Sonny would much rather turn around, go home and cuddle up on the couch with the Momma than ever go for a walk!
