As part of my Christmas Gift Guide series, which I will be running throughout December in the run-up to the big day, I’m going to be sharing a number of different gift ideas for different people in your life. Today’s the turn of the ladies of luxury; some ideas for what to get the gal who loves the finer things in life without breaking your bank. I’m not talking a designer handbag or pair of Louboutins, but some smaller ideas that make the perfect gift. Here are my Luxury Gift Ideas for Her.
The first item I want to share is THE fragrance of the moment; the brand new and debut perfume by high end designer Miu Miu. The Miu Miu Eu De Parfum Gift Set* is the perfect way to give the gift of a designer label without the HUGE designer price tag. Miu Miu is a brand which I personally love for their fashion, but honestly, I can’t afford it. This art-deco style bottle of scent is the perfect way for a designer-lover to indulge in a spot of the Miu – plus, it smells incredible.
Speaking of ways to get a designer in your life without spending ALL the moneys, Kate Spade is a designer which has taken New York (and the rest of the world!) by storm recently with her stunning simple designs and gorgeous handbags. Although her handbags are lovely, they do cost hundreds of pounds which I am guessing is a little more than your standard Christmas present budget. Instead, this simple yet chic Kate Spade Thermal Mug from Amara* is the perfect Kate Spade gift and only costs £16, practical yet pretty!
Jewellery always makes a fantastic gift; it’s timeless, hard to get wrong and will last forever. If you’re looking to gift a lady of luxury a piece of jewellery, I would recommend going for a necklace – you KNOW it will fit and suit pretty much any body shape. If you’re looking for something affordable yet unusual, try Rebecca Jewellery*. This rose gold spike pendant necklace is only £99 and makes a lovely gift for your sister, girlfriend, best mate…
A gift I always love getting at Christmas is candles. I’m a right candle junkie and as a gal who likes a spot of luxury myself, a posh candle is the way to my heart! Although high end candles such as NEOM and Diptique can often set you back £60ish (yes, really – gasp!), there are alternatives you can look for. For instance, Amara offer travel size NEOM candles* which are a lot more affordable at £16, giving you a luxury candle fix at a fraction of the price.
Personalised gifts are also a really great way of giving a gift that you KNOW won’t have been given before! Everyone loves something with their name on it, and right now Kiehl’s are offering their legendary Creme De Corps body moisturiser with a personalised label at Selfridges Exchange, Manchester. As a luxury gift in itself, Creme De Corps* is a world favourite with customers, made famous by it’s first feature in Vogue many years ago. This body lotion is legendary and paired with a personalised label, makes a lovely addition to your love’s bathroom cabinet.
For a make-up lover, go for a new-out item they aren’t likely to have bought themselves yet. The Clinique Pretty Easy Eye* eyeshadow palette is new out and as a beauty-blogger-and-make-up-lover myself, it’s only now I’ve got my mitts on it. It makes a lovely compact travel gift, with neutral brown eyeshadows that will suit any skin tone. Plus, it comes with application instructions which make a great gift for make-up artists and make-up novices alike.
Another make-up gift which is stocking-worthy this year, is Vita Liberata’s self-title ‘The Perfect Gift‘* – if that doesn’t make things easy, I don’t know what does! For anyone who loves to tan, it makes sense to gift them a gift set by one of the most famous tanning brands out there. Although I don’t fake tan myself, my sister does, and so she will be finding this item in her bundle of pressies this year. It contains everything you need for the perfect Winter glow: fake tan, tinted facial lotion and tanning mitt.
This phone cover honestly gives me life. Designed by Boyard – the hugely famous handbag-painter who has taken the fashion and art world by storm this year – it is all types of retro goodness with a modern twist. It’s a nod toward’s Boyard’s famous painted handbags; remember, the Hermes handbag painted with a beautiful pop up goddess on the front? I would love one of these one day, but as the painting starts at a grand (let alone thinking about the purchase of a designer handbag on top of that) I think I will have to save up. In the mean time, I am LOVING this phone case as a replacement.
Finally, my last little injection of luxury comes in the form of these Butterfly Twist shoes*. At only £35, you would be mistaken for thinking they cost three times that. Aside from being a lovely faux suede with gold detail, the real bonus of these shoes is that they fold up into a little dust bag, making them perfect for popping in your handbag for a Christmas party night out. Butterfly Twists are so gorgeous are so unusual that it’s unlikely the lady in your life would have bought these for herself before, and the perfect conclusion to my Luxury Gift Guide for Her 2015.
