Do you pat your pockets before you go outside the house? Do you comb your hair using the glass in your front door just before you leave for work? But we never really take the hallway seriously when it comes to interior design. It’s just an afterthought just like most of the things we perceive we use it for. A small island

In the kitchen you have a large island. It’s right in the middle of the room, with a sink, countertop, knife rack and lights. It’s where you prepare most of your meals and you’re never too far from anything you need to use. So for your hallway you need a small island.
