A red tartan suit is not for the faint hearted… And faint hearted I am not! Since starting my new job last year, and having way more events and meetings to attend, I have really found the value in owning multiple matching suits. I guess it also happens to be lucky that suits are on trend right now and so are available in a wide range of different patterns. A tailored red tartan trouser suit is loud and proud, but I’m not afraid to rock it both in and outside of the office.
In the office, I like wearing this with a pair of plain white trainers or Converse for a smart-casual look. For work events, I step it up with a pair of black heeled sandals for a more formal look. But, for casual wear, I like to pop this on for a day time boozy brunch in town with a pair of biker boots from Ego shoes. It helps to toughen up the tartan and keep it looking fresh – a little less bright, but definitely still bold.
