The Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette is my first highlighter palette. Really? I hear you gasp. Yes, really! Can you believe that I’ve made it so long in life as a Beauty Blogger without owning a booty of highlighter all under one lid? Well, my problem was that they were always so expensive – there were tons that I saw and fell in love with but I just can’t justify £40 or so on shimmer for my cheekbones. However, my favourite drugstore makeup brand, Sleek, has answered my prayers with this palette of 4 different highlighter shades, costing just a tenner a pop.
This beautiful palette not only looks luxurious in it’s striking gold packaging, but the Solstice contains three different baked powder shades (each with a metallic glow shimmer in gold, pink and purple) and one cream highlight, too. Although there aren’t huge differences between these shades, I often like to experiment by using the gold – which I have found to be most luminous – on my cheekbones and the pink on the bridge of my nose. For daytime looks, the cream highlighter is a more subtle look.
At £10 for four highlighter shades this is a lovely little addition to my makeup collection.
