With Easter just around the corner, I couldn’t resist popping into Lush for a nosy around. The result: My Easter lush haul full of bath bombs. Why bath bombs? Well I think this is really where Lush items stand out from the market – they are always amazing quality with fabulous scents and colours. Plus, the limited edition element just sucks me right in.
The first item that grabbed me attention in store was the Golden Egg. Because, glitter. I mean, look at that ball of wonderful gold glitteriness. I can’t lie, I haven’t used this yet as I am a bit hesitant to just how practical adding a whole load of glitter to a bath that you use to get clean in can be. But. It still looks pretty and that’s the most important thing, right?
Next up, The Humpty Dumpty. This is a right beast of a bath bomb that I initially avoided after seeing the £5.95 price tag, which is a bit extortionate for one bath bomb. However, after speaking to the lovely ladies in the Manchester Arndale Store, I was told that this actually splits into two, with an extra smaller bath bomb inside. Working out at around £2ish a bath this is way more affordable, so I went for it.
One item I bought which I am a bit disappointed with is the Ickle Robot. I thought this was limited edition as it was in the same area but it looks like it is probably always sold. At £2ish this is the cheapest of all the bath bombs and you can definitely tell. It’s scent doesn’t hold in the bath at all and where I usually smell like the bath bombs for the following evening, I didn’t at all with this one. It’s a shame as the £2ish Golden Teddy’s for Christmas are the same price and size and are my absolutely favourites.
This Rose Bombshell is what I think of as a classic lush bath bomb. It smells (like roses, obviously) but also of powder, sweet and floral – like a high class, clean grandma’s house. Which is actually quite a compliment. This is meant to turn your bath pink and blue. Maybe not so great for your bathroom furniture but I am hopeful that when I use this the experience will be worth it!
The Fluffy Egg seems to be a bit like the Flower Bomb in an egg shape. It smells a little bit like lavender and it is definitely a lovely, relaxing scent. In fact, I’ve been keeping this on a little shelf outside my bedroom and every time I walk past I get a lovely sniff of floral scents. I can’t wait to use it!
And finally, this Magic Wand is an item I have left over from Christmas. You simply wave it under the tap when running a bath and it adds fizz to the bath, rather than plopping it all in one go. Mainly it’s worth mentioning that I picked this up after Christmas and it was half price, and so I am wondering whether this year Lush will do a half price Easter sale, too. Here’s hoping!
