Anyone who’s anyone in the Beauty Industry knows who Alex Steinherr is. But, if you don’t, let me introduce you – ex-beauty Editor/Director now turned a pretty damn, well, influential, influencer, Alex is famous across the world for her skincare recommendations, with her own taste being a mix of high-end and high street brands. It only seems a natural progression, therefore, that this year Alex has launched her very own Alex Steinherr for Primark skincare beauty collection and recently I was invited along for a private afternoon tea at King Street Townhouse, Manchester, with the two powerhouses themselves to celebrate it.
Meeting at a luxurious private dining room at the gorgeous King Street Townhouse in central Manchester, Alex greeted us all with open arms (and open heart!) as she invited us all around the table to join in our own skincare discussions, ask advice and simply get to know the face of this brand. Joined with representatives from Primark, we learnt how this range had been 2 years in the making with Alex being instrumental in the creation of the products – she knew exactly what she wanted.
The range contains 20 products so far (but a little birdy tells me that may be set to expand!), and the Alex Steinherr for Primark skincare range is split into five sub-categories including Plump & Glow, Maximum Moisture, Pollution Solution, Pore Balance and Sleep Spa. Alex’s aim was to be able to create a range of different products to target all different skincare issues, allowing you to mix and match. So, if you have dry cheeks but an oily T-zone, you can mix and match the products to your own needs.
From the very first day, Alex Steinherr’s primark collection was selling out in stores across the world. Here in Manchester, we are lucky to have one of the largest Primark’s in the world and so the full range is available in our Market Street store (when in stock!) for you to try if you so wish. With prices from £3 – £5, Alex was keen to make this range accessible for everyone; from the school kid looking to solve acne issues to the single mother with a limited budget who just deserves to treat herself.
The products are all cruelty-free with vegan-friendly ingredients and contain no parabens, no phthalates, no essential oils, no sulfates and very little oil. The packaging is super simple and sleek, making the collection look chic despite it’s budget price tag. Also, unisex, which Alex told me she thought was important; it is 2019 after all!
Whilst Alex admits that she doesn’t just use her own range (she still switches it up with more expensive skincare staples she has always loved such as the Estee Lauder Advance Night Repair Serum), she will mix and match her skincare products to what suits her. Almost like wearing a Primark coat with a designer handbag, you get me? I, for one, can totally relate and have enjoyed trying out the Alex Steinherr Skincare Range at Primark, Manchester, on Market Street.
