Floral Kimono for Festivals

festivalfashionheadshot

If you’re new here, welcome! If not, then you will be familiar with my love of kimonos. I love how chucking on one of these lovely, floaty cover-ups can totally transform an overly casual pair of jeans and T-shirt to something a little more fashion-forward. We’ve seen many a variety of kimono over here on LilyKitten.com, and today we just widen that horizon with my floral kimono for festival style. Enjoy!

This floral kimono is actually not a new one at all, but it is perfect for festivals. I am totally fine with re-wearing the same thing more than once (duh – that’s what real people do, no matter what some fashion bloggers might lead you to believe!) and you will have probably seen this one featured a fair few times if you’ve been around here long enough. It was originally from MissPap* many years ago. Despite whatever trend is leading, each summer it just comes back into it’s own; it’s an ideal combination between reserved and patterned, and I’m forever in love with the delicate floral montage on the back.

To keep the rest of the look simple, I went with just a pair of plain indigo skinny jeans, a white vest top and some sandals. This is as casual as it gets for me, and in fact this is what I wore a few Sunday’s ago… And you can’t get much more casual than Sunday clothes!

For my accessories I kept things summer-inspired by wearing tan colours and browns, with the highlight being my new Miu Miu large round sunglasses. It’s so easy to reach for black handbag, black shoes and be done with it, but for sunny days I like to go for warmer tones whilst I can. These gladiator sandals are a few years old from Clarks and still as comfortable as ever. You will have no doubt seen the sandals and necklace more than once or twice on here before as well. See – I do like to re-wear items!
