Look at my sweet chubby Sonny baby! I couldn’t be a prouder pug Momma and I love sharing pictures of my precious love with you all. I’m going to be doing regular updates with pictures, progress and funny stories of my life with little Lazy Sonny Days. This is my beautiful pug puppy 10 weeks update (which may be a little out-of-date, but Sonny has truly been keeping me busy!).
It’s been two weeks of Sonny living in his forever home, and he has settled in like he has always been here. Even from his very first night with me, he slept all the way through and quickly got into a routine. He goes to bed every night without any fuss and it’s becoming clear he has an internal body clock for his ‘din dins’. I feed him four times a day on recommendations from the vets (more to keep his sugar levels up, than to keep him full) and he gobbles it up in 0.2 seconds. You’ve never seen food being inhaled so quickly!
Sonny is still too young to be allowed outside (he has to wait until 12 weeks), but this week he had his second lot of vaccinations and handled it like a champ. He’s been to the vets three times now – nothing major, just claw clippings and check ups – and loves visiting! He’s not your typical pup. He’s all over the vets, cuddling them, kissing them and didn’t even flinch when he got his injections. Afterwards he acted a little ‘drunk’ but wasn’t ill at all and just had lots of cuddles. He’s a trooper.
We were warned Sonny was ‘confident’ pug before we picked him up, but he certainly is! He has the most fantastic curious personality and isn’t scared of anything… Yet! The vet advised us to carry him to visit other people’s houses, cats, men with beards (apparently a concern) and expose him to household and outdoor noises. Nothing has phased him and he has LOVED all the visitors that have come round to meet him. I get asked about him every day by my colleagues and I am so proud to show them pictures and videos of my 10 week old baby.
In his first two weeks with me, Sonny has got a little bigger but still looks very chubby-puppy like. Look at his beautiful rolls above! He was pretty dark when I first picked him up but over the past two weeks he’s become a warmer, lighter brown – he reminds me a bit of a baby bear! He loves to play and I’ve taught him how to sit, shake his paw and fetch. I reckon he’s not only cute but very clever; like mother like son, eh?
Hope you enjoyed Sonny’s Pug Puppy 10 Weeks Update. I’m hoping to do updates every 2 – 4 weeks (so I guess I have a couple of posts to be catching up on) as I want to treasure the memories. Plus, who doesn’t love cute puppy pictures?
