The Touche Éclat Le Teint Foundation is the latest offering from high fashion and beauty brand YSL, promising flawless raidence and a medium coverage. Spoiler alert: it does just that! With a couple of pea sized amounts of product on your skin, blended in with a damp sponge, your face is pretty much sorted for the rest of the day. For £33.50, it’s a reasonable price for a high-end foundation and their wide range of colours (from light to dark with a variety of pink and yellow undertones) ensures there’s a colour for most people. Yes, really. It is absolutely beautiful and I would expect nothing less from such a premium, luxury Beauty brand. YSL, your foundation is just as wonderful as your handbags… But I can only afford one of those things!
Not only is the YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint Foundation itself a beautiful quality, but the packaging just feels luxurious too – I guess as you would expect from such a high fashion, designer brand. The bottle is glass (which is actually pretty rare in makeup packaging now) with a beautiful faux gold top and a pump included (also rare – but super handy for getting the right amount out). Aside from how the makeup performs, I do like a good bit of packaging and this item totally fulfils the dressing table lust-have vibes.
Paired with the YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer, the two of these make for a truly flawless base. This primer is also totally luxurious (gold flakes included!) and contains a range of different oils to illuminate the skin including corn, apricot kernel, passiflora, and rice bran oil which promise to give skincare properties to a primer. For me, the foundation does most of the work out of the pair to provide that classic high fashion radiance to the skin, but if you are looking for a beautiful bottle to adore on your vanity station and use with pleasure every day, then indulge in this as at treat to yourself. After all, it’s the perfect accessory for any high end fashion lover.
