Free Paint Fight in Manchester #GetDrafty

On Saturday I had one of the most surreal – yet most amazing – experiences of my life. I was invited to experience and co-host an incredible UV paint daytime party with Drafty at Old Granada Studios in Manchester. Think fluorescent paint, fizzy pop, sweets and your fav dance anthems. This was #GetDrafty. And I was there to Co-host with Love Island favourite Scott Thomas!

Old Granada Studios is such an iconic Manchester venue that it seemed perfect to hold such an incredible event there. With buckets, balloons and pistols full of paint, this urban warehouse setting wouldn’t be out of place at a top rave or VIP festival room, which makes it even more incredible that it was free to the first 200 to sign up. And why free? Well Drafty love to celebrate being your fee-free way to get cash – they wanted to give us all the chance to Be Free and Get Drafty!

Now, I have to be totally honest in saying I wasn’t sure what to expect from a paint party. Heck, I’d never been to one before and I had NO idea what to wear. I have to admit I wasn’t brave enough to take part… But after seeing how much fun everyone was having I did have a bit of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out, I’ll have you know). The event was during the daytime, starting at 2pm, with snacks, soft drinks, a Top DJ, photobooth and even canvases to help create your own paint art to take home on. Whilst the dresscode was white undies, it was totally the most innocent fun I’ve ever seen and I giggled my head off all afternoon watching!

It was honestly the most fun I have had in the longest time and the crowd and Drafty staff were perfect for it; everyone was super friendly, fun and totally up for a laugh, which is exactly what you needed. Honestly, if you ever get the chance to try something like this out – just do it! You won’t regret it. And next time it comes around, I’m going to put on my white pyjamas and get out there too. Game on and #GetDrafty.
