Outfit of the Day: Floral Smock Dress

Hey kittens, today’s outfit is from last weekend, when I visited the Trafford Centre for the John Lewis Autumn Winter 2014 Fashion Show. If you’re local, you’ll know that the Trafford Centre is pretty much ‘the’ shopping destination in the North West, so my look is pretty casual – can’t wear anything too fancy for a day of shopping!

During the fashion show, we were told how big blooming florals were huge this season, with dark backgrounds to the flower prints re-introducing the pattern for the colder weather as ‘winter florals’. I was pretty chuffed to be sat on the frow wearing this excellent example of winter florals by Lasula Boutique. Y’all have heard me chat on about Lasula before, but as a local Manchester boutique I’m super proud to represent them, especially when this gorgeous smock dress makes it so easy to love them all over again.

Because my printed dress was doing all the talking, I kept the rest of the look as all black everrrythang. Again, I think this helps to transition florals into the autumn and despite being pretty effortless, I think my accessories compliment the look really well. What do you think?
