If you’re looking for the perfect way to relax before the weekend, I’ve gotcha covered. This time last week – at around 4pm on Friday afternoon – I left a work meeting and headed to discover a tiny slice of paradise in the city. I visited the Flint + Flint clinic at Harvey Nichols Manchester to discover their introduction of Traditional Chinese Medicine to their range of luxury beauty treatments.

The Flint + Flint skin clinic and treatment rooms are located on the ground floor of Harvey Nichols Manchester, at the back of the beauty floor and around the other concept treatment counters (think SHOW Beauty blow dry chairs and Shavata nail bars). It is a beautiful mini salon tucked away neatly in Harvey Nichols and as soon as I checked in the staff were super friendly and welcoming.

After filling in a short consultation form, I was invited into a treatment room with Helen to discuss any main concerns.  For me, we concentrated on general health and wellbeing (to go alongside my new personal training journey) and also hormonal balance. For this, I experienced a little cocktail of treatments that Helen suggested, including a stress busting facial massage, a natural herb treatment and a mini back massage. Over the course of an hour I felt totally relaxed (to the point where I actually dropped off to sleep for a few minutes!) and left feeling like I was walking on a cloud.

If you’re looking for a city centre retreat to help you feel like a new person within an hour or so, then I would definitely recommend visiting Harvey Nichols Manchester for a revitilising treatment at Flint + Flint. Helen’s treatments are perfect for encouraging general relaxation, calmness and wellbeing and I am definitely considering booking in for regular treatments to help keep my body and mind in balance.
