If you’re a regular reader here, you’ll know I’m no stranger to subscription boxes, particularly Beauty Boxes. I love my monthly Lookfantastic Beauty Box delivery and I always look forward to a bundle of surprises through my door each month. This month, however, I’ve received a mystery box of a very different variety. This little bundle of joy came through my letterbox (well, not literally, it wouldn’t fit!) courtesy of Type the Hype. The Type the Hype Discovery Box is s not a subscription box – it is entirely exclusive to their approved bloggers and contains a selection of samples and gifts from brands you may know and brands that you might not have discovered before. So, let’s see what’s inside…
The hero item in the Type the Hype Discovery Box for me has to be the full sized Smart Cleanse Micellar Water by Elemis. Elemis is already one of my favourite skincare brands and so when I saw this beaut in the box I knew it would be good. I am a huge fan of micellar waters for removing my makeup before double cleansing in the evening, and this does not disappoint. I use this every night and it’s definitely a treat to be included in a goodie box!
Some of the other top beauty products I enjoyed receiving in the box include this mini Benefit Porefessional primer and powder duo – these are tiny but very cute and ideal for popping in my travel makeup bag. They are a useful size and I’ll enjoy using these for travel, but next time it would be great to see a full sized Benefit item, especially as they are so supportive with bloggers!
I also enjoyed receiving this Weleda Skin Food. Having not heard of Weleda before, I always love discovering new brands… And that’s the whole point of this box, right?! This 30ml full size product costs £6.95 to buy and is a natural moisturiser for rough or dry skin, to be used all over the body. Again this will be perfect for holidays, where I need a handy sized lotion to target dry patches after being out in the sun.
However the Type the Hype Discovery Box is not just a beauty box, and contains an assortment of different lifestyle bits too. I am always fond of a snack and these Punchy Protein Nuts from Graze are the perfect healthy desktop treat for a mid-afternoon slump. Other lifestyle bits and bobs include Shoe Licks – a gold line to add to the sole of your heels (think personalised Loubitons, right?) and a voucher to try Results with Lucy to get you in shape just in time for your jollies. There were also gifts from Minty Coco, and Bliss, with eyeliner stickers from Glam Republic which is pretty unusual. Speaking of unusual, there was also a head massager – I can’t lie this was pretty random but fun, I guess!
Finally, there were an assortment of other treats, like Kerastase sachets, a voucher for Moo business cards (I definitely want to try these out for creating some pretty blog cards!) and a voucher for Treatwell… Unfortunately this ran out before I got to use it which is a shame, but I love Treatwell! Last but not lest, there was a weekly blog planner pad by Type the Hype, which is just a lovely thoughtful gift to include and one that everyone will use and enjoy.
