Hello kittens, Happy Monday! Instead of feeling down about the weekend past, I am reminiscing about this beautiful outfit that I was lucky enough to wear yesterday. I mean – wow. Do you ever wear a dress that makes you feel like a princess? Safe to say this posh frock definitely did, and posh frock it really is. Just in time for prom season, too!

This stunning, bright blue dress is by David Charles, available only to exclusive retailers such as Harrods, and pretty hard to get your paws on. I feel very, very lucky to have been asked to style this and definitely felt special wearing it, kinda like should have been a queen in a parade, or about about to be swept off to a ball. I hope you can tell from the pictures just how high quality this item really is; look at the hand-beaded floral belt, the satin bow at the back, the flattering fit, cap sleeves, perfectly proportioned length, double lining and built in petit-coat.  In fact, I even verbalised my feelings by telling my Mum I would keep this dress until I got married and make my maid of honour wear it – sounded like a good plan ‘til my mum told me that ‘I’ve gotta find someone that will have me first’… How rude!

One of the most intriguing things about being asked to style this piece – aside from the luxurious quality – is that it’s actually meant for a child. David Charles is a childrenswear designer, creating stunning dresses for children from 2 years up to 16 years old. (I was pretty surprised I managed to squeeze into a child’s dress to be honest, but actually it wasn’t that tight a fit at all – very wareable and I will 100% be wearing this out to my next special occasion). I honestly cannot believe this dress is from a childrenswear designer – with dresses retailing up to £419, these dresses are WAY too nice for kids. Forget the kids, give them all to me. I want them ALL!
