UGG Australia’s Spring/Summer ’13 Preview

Hey kittens! Is it just me, or does it feel like Spring is just never gonna come? I can’t be the only one lusting after Spring/Summer 2013 styles whilst Manchester remains cold and drizzly!

I was recently invited to a preview event of the UGG Spring/Summer 2013 at UGG Australia Manchester, (that’s on 3 New Cathedral Street for all you fellow Ugg newbies). Yep, you heard right – UGG and “Spring” in the same sentence. Don’t worry, I nearly had a moment of despair too, until I realised that UGG don’t just do those (pretty unsightly) sheepskin boots they’re famous for. Nope, they actually do some pretty nice footwear too!

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of UGGs before; y’all know that I would never been seen dead in a pair of “traditional” Ugg boots as it is so far away from anything that I’d ever wear, despite the loving coos of how comfortable they are from my friends! However, I thought these new Naima heels from UGG Australia’s Spring/Summer ’13 Collection were worth their own blog post, just for showing how different they are to the usual Ugg style. I never would have guessed who their classic predecessors are!

So kittens, would you guess these were UGGs? Inspired by the warm sands and earthen architecture of Marrakesh, the Naima forms part of the glamorous Carmen collection, which includes high fashion styles – perfect for trendsetters who want to be one step ahead this season.  Featuring supple, tanned leather straps and an ombre-finished wooden platform, these stunning sandals are finished off with authentic Moroccan-style wooden beads. They’re available in Cinnamon Bark, Natural and Black, and although pretty pricey at £135, I have developed a soft spot for the Cinnamon Bark Naima which I think would look pretty cute with a black maxi or a warm toned tea dress.
