Essential Oils are certainly having their moment in skincare right now, and so I thought I would give one of the more niche brands a go – Badger Oils. If you’ve not heard of them before, then I’m not surprised (they’re a small, family run company), but I’m here to tell you why you might be hearing more of them.
With products created from organic oils, minerals and natural ingredients, they pride themselves on using the safest natural blends to heal your hair, face and body. As I have used oil cleansers and hair oils before, I thought I would share my opinions on these two Badger Oils to see how they compare to what I already know.
Cleansing Oils have much overtaken Hot Cloth Cleansers and Cleansing Balms as the new, go-to way to clean your face, and having tried a couple before, I decided to give Badger’s own blend a go. The Badger Argan Cleansing Oil prides itself on giving your pores a deep clean, helping to lift away any impurities and dead skin cells. I’ve been trying this out for removing my makeup and am happy to let you know it does so in a an effective, yet gentle way. It even helps to remove stubborn eye makeup, with it’s natural ingredients not irritating my eyes and allowing me to wash the day off gently without scrubbing at my skin. This costs £19.99 and is available now from Lookfantastic.
Hair oils have been around for a lot longer than facial cleansing oils and are now widely accepted as part of many haircare enthusiast’s daily routine. I personally like to use hair oils on the second day into my washed hair, when the ends need a little extra hydration to neaten them up.
I have since been giving the Badger Argan Hair Oil a go, and am enjoying the results. At £16.99, it is a fair price for a product that gives you a lot of bang for your buck – I personally only need a tiny 5p pence size to apply to the ends of my hair to nurse split ends and reduce frizz. Both this and the Facial Cleanser by Badger contain Argan Oil, a highly soothing and powerful essential ingredient which contains antioxidants to heal and restore.
