The more experience in my career I get, the more I turn to trainers instead of heels. I’m not exactly sure why, but I feel like it has something to do with the quiet confidence of knowing exactly what I’m doing now and being so silently sure of myself that I don’t feel like I HAVE to wear smart shoes or heels to play or look the part. I just AM the part. And although I do like to look smart and professional in the workplace, I feel like a pair of trainers and now such much more acceptable – and even stylish – in the office. Read more on that here.
….And that leads me into my new every day office shoe. The Gola Classics Women’s Inca Leather Trainer are my new ‘go-to’s. All white premium leather – apart from the green PU pop of colour on the heel – and suede toe bumper, these trainers quite literally go with every single outfit I’ve ever paired them with. And let’s be honest, what’s not to love about them? Aside from being super comfortable (so much more so than heels or boots), these Gola Classics are inspired by court sports and designed in a Heritage style, which gives them a super cool retro vibe.
Of course, my Gola’s will match anything – which makes choosing shoes in the morning almost too easy as I am becoming so reliant on these beauties – but aside from them I do like to co-ordinate parts of my outfits as you guys know. Hence, the pink stripes in my blazer go perfectly with this pink high neck top (both River Island sale purchases) and coincidentally also with my nails… Who says I’m not an outfit planner?
