Hey kittens, Happy Friday! I hope you all have some lovely plans for the weekend? It’s pretty lovely in Manchester at the moment – the sun is shining and it’s not rained for one whole day. Pretty unusual, huh? Which also gave me chance to finally get out and take some snaps of this wonderful, ethereal dress for you. Kinda feel like I’m getting married… Also kinda okay with that!
When Fabric Boutique asked me to choose an item from their online store, I was spoilt for choice. Although I wasn’t familiar with them before, after looking on their site it became clear that this was definitely a shop for me. They stock so many unusual items and concessionary labels that are very, very different to the proliferation of samey-samey online stores around. Think different prints, smaller names and a whole lot cuter stock. I could quite easily stock my whole summer wardrobe from them; and that’s a mean feat! However, I finally decided to take the plunge and it true spirit of something a little different, a chose an item out of the ordinary…
This pale, mint green maxi dress is the perfect shade of dusky pastel for Spring/Summer 2014 and I can see it making an appearances at garden parties throughout the season for me. Whilst I would also easily pair this dress with some flat sandals, a satchel and a straw hat for a summer holiday look – a lot more casual – I went for some vintage style heels and complimentary gold and white accessories for this look, just in time for prom season. I kept the accessories simple but the floral headband was the finishing touch; a floating, fairy-like look perfect for midsummer nights.
Please feel free to nominate me as Best Personal Style or Best Fashion in the Company Blog Awards – I’d hugely appreciate it. Thank you.
