Big News: Manchester Fashion Week!

Hi Kittens,

This week I had some pretty exciting news! I wanted to confirm it all before I got too giddy and told you all, but now its all official I couldn’t wait to tell you. I’ve been bursting with kitten butterflies!

To sum it up and get right to the kitten point, I received an email earlier this week from the organisers of Manchester Fashion Week 2013 stating, “on behalf of the team, we would be honoured to have you involved as one of our official MCRFW’13 influential bloggers“. CAN YOU SAY EXCITED? This not only means I get to work alongside the official MCRFW’13 pannel themselves, but I also recieve access-all-areas press passes and front row seats to each of the 30 fashion shows! Expect lots of blogging and video updates!

 Now although MCRFW’13 is still a few months away, kicking off on Sunday March 24th – Friday 29th March, my OFFICIAL status means I am invited to every pre-event and will recieve all press releases leading up to that date. 

Now, for those of you who aren’t fellow Mancunions, I’ll give you the low-down. Manchester Fashion week was born out of love for Fashion and the city of Manchester and aims to solidify the city’s fashionable reputation. As a MCRFW’13 Representative said, “Manchester has a habit of creating something amazing collectively many times before, be it in dance music and shaping the world, in business and sport. Manchester Fashion week was created to make this happen in Fashion”.

In April 2012 it was held at The Avenue in Spinnigfields Manchester. Sponsored by Missguided, the week saw models strut down the catwalk in Mulberry, All Saints, and Masato amongmany others. Whilst 2012 saw great success, this year there have been significant changes to create the best Fashion Week the North has ever seen. And I’m gonna be there to tell you all about it!
