Dark Floral Midi Dress

Oh look, it’s me in another Midi Dress! Can’t stop, won’t stop, and let’s be honest, we need to make the most of Summer while we can (it’s already raining in Manchester!). This one I picked up around 5 years ago from H&M in a sale and think it was only £5. I didn’t have high hopes for it – it’s pretty simple material, unstructured and has no zips or buttons – but it quickly grew into a firm fair weather favourite. It’s comfortable, smart enough to wear for work and casual enough to pop on with a pair of trainers at the weekend. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

This time, I’m wearing the dress with my favourite pair of Birkenstocks (which incidentally, have gone missing and I have had to replace!) and my heart shaped sunglasses. I like the heart shaped sunnies as they’re fun and quirky without make too much of a statement – they are also a firm favourite and always work really well with whatever outfit I choose.
