Fashion was my first love and it will always remain a main feature on this blog. Documenting personal style and looking at other’s street style is a real fascination for me, and so one of my favourite annual blog traditions is to look back at my favourite outfits from the year before. So, here’s a quick run through of my 2015 A Year in Outfits in chronological order. Enjoy!
My first three favourite outfits from January to March were definitely some chilly photography sessions. In January, my aztec print cape did a pretty good job of keeping me warm, whilst also emmulating Burberry’s signature catwalk cape style at a fraction of the price. February’s red tailored suit outfit has to be one of my favourites from the year – one of the more daring ones, but I absolutely love the suit and how effective it looked with monochrome accessories. March was as cold as I look in the picture, but my REISS wrap-around camel coat was a life saver. In April, the weather finally started to pick up for Easter and I celebrated by wearing a sunny mustard yellow shirt!
In May, I still needed a cardigan to keep warm outside as I warm some not-very-springlike black and white stripes. June still wasn’t proper ‘summer’ as even though I embraced my retro side again by styling up this 1950’s pin-up floral dress, I still had to pop on a trench coat on top. However, in July it hotted up a little and I took the chance to wear sandals when I could, alongside this midi dress from Topshop which was my first adult delve into the pinny dress. Back in August, it started to cool down a little and it was back in long sleeves, but not forgetting the florals in these Matalan monochrome floral trousers.
Finally, the last third of the year happened to be some of my favourite outfits from the year. Autumn and Winter are definitely my seasons and I love how as it gets colder, there’s just so much more opportunity to add layers. In September and October, I worked with Tommy Hilfiger on two outfit posts, styling up a Tommy Hilfiger signature stripe dress as seen on the Kardashians and repping their 30th Anniversary limited edition Tommy Hilfiger knitwear. In November, I fell in love with this panelled camel coat from River Island and finally in December I cuddled up with a faux fur coat-i-gan from George at Asda.
I just find it so interesting to look at how style develops over the years and how seasons and trends can influence personal choice. I’ve noticed that towards Autumn and Winter 2015 I have started to develop a more ‘sophisticated’ style, perhaps reflecting turning 25 and adjusting to no longer being part of the 18 – 24 tick box age bracket!

Aww Jessica, thank you so much! What a lovely comment. And Happy New Year! xx
Some lovely outfits here. I absolutely love that River Island beigey coat, been after it for ages but can’t really justify it as I have so many coats as it is!!
