Accessorising My Kitchen with an Olif Copper Sink

Now that I’m back from my time in Utah, USA, I’m falling back in love with my beautiful little home. Before Christmas there was too much to do to fully take in how much it had come along and how everything was fitting together, so today I’m reflecting on one of my faovourite rooms of the house – my kitchen – and in particularly my Olif Copper Sink which is the focal point of the room.

Whenever I have visitors to my house, they more often than not start to gather in the kitchen (for pouring glasses of prosecco and putting pizzas in the over, duh) and more often than not they compliment me on my sink. What an adult thing to be proud of, eh? But I am. Copper sinks in the home are pretty unusual. I think I might have seen one or two on my travels in restaurants and bars before but I’ve never seen one installed at one of my friends and families houses before and it certainly makes a statement.

Although the sink is a super practical object, I always knew I wanted more than just the stainless steel version that is the standard kitchen utility. I always knew I wanted my kitchen to be marble, monochrome and copper and it was only when I started researching it that I saw Olif’s website. They make a huge amount of beautiful individual sinks, taps and similar home wear units in a variety of different modern metals, including brass, silver and matte black. Sure, Copper might show the water stains a little more but I give it a quick wipe down every day and it soon comes back sparkling! Plus, it was the perfect excuse to fully indulge my copper kitchenware obsession… If you want any more pics, just let me know!
