It’s been a little while since I’ve done a favourites post, but it’s been a long time coming! ‘Favourites’ are some of my favourite videos to watch on YouTube and some of my favourite blog posts to read; I love the variety and I find it so interesting to see what all my favourite bloggers are loving right now. As I’ve been posting a lot recently, I thought I’d make the most of it and bring it right back down to basics by sharing my April Favourites 2016 – enjoy!
Beauty
Home
My favourite home collection of this month has to be the Avendar range from IKEA. A new collection based on their Live Lagom project (which I am currently taking part in), it includes themes of terracotta, white and the occasional bold statement print in true Scandi style. Check out my #LiveLagom update vlog of viewing the collection live right here.
Fashion
It’s always hard to pinpoint a fashion favourite – I couldn’t possibly choose just ONE item – but this month I have been loving MandMdirect. They’re a new discovery for me and with tons of famous brands at affordable prices, I’m finding it hard to resist. My fav brands from them at the mo are Onfire, Board Angels, Fluid and KP85, who have tons of transitional pieces ready for moving into Spring and Summer weather. Bring on the sun!
Technology
This month I’ve discovered a new phone case which has proven to be a lifesaver – the Moshi iGlaze Luxe case from Mobile Fun. Not only is a chic metallic colour and matches my phone perfectly, it’s super protective, meaning that when I drop my phone (unfortunately it does happen!) it stays protected as well as looking cute. This case, paired with a glass shatter resistant cover Tempered Glass Screen by Olixar, means that my phone has kept in tip top condition despite being my most used accessory. Phew!
Travel
I’ve not jetted off anywhere exotic this month, but I have had a few overnight stays in London. My incredible job means I’m lucky enough to visit the capital every other week – and whilst Manchester will always be home – it’s been amazing to see more of the capital city. My favourite was visiting Shoreditch for the #LFBlooms event this month, although the HQHair birthday party in Westminster has been really fun, too!
Food
My favourite meal out this month had to be at The Alchemist, Spinningfields. It had been a long time coming but I had a really lovely date there where we not only sipped on a cocktail or two, but tried a mix of food from their starters and sharers menu. Not only was it a delicious meal, but the venue is really fun with good vibes, too.
Accessories
It’s a toss up between these two beauties for my favourite accessories this month; both the Rocket Dog heels and Marc B Handbag are part of this season’s new collections and both are perfect in their own way. These Rocket Dog SS16 heels are such a statement with their bold pattern, but are still wearable due to their monochrome colour and surprisingly comfortable due to their block heel. Contrastingly, this Laura Pale Blue bag by Marc B handbag is a mini little beaut and so doesn’t fit much in, but looks cute as heck paired with a floral dress. Both are going to be must haves for moving into summer.

Great post! I don’t live that far away from London and I’ve never been to Shoreditch – will duffs visit next time i’m in the capital!
xx
Thanks Eloise – oh yes try visited Shoreditch, it’s really fun for a night out! x
