Barkers of Wilmslow Dog Groomers

Is there anything better than a good spa day? Treating yourself to a hot tub, blow dry and a good manicure-pedicure combo? Yeah, it’s bliss and it’s the perfect way to pamper yourself if you’re feeling a little down… So, why not treat your most loved (a.k.a your pet!) so the same special treatment?

To test out my theory, I popped down to Barkers of Wilmslow with my beloved Sonny to give him a top dog spa treatment. Located in the centre of Wilmslow in Cheshire, it was dead easy to find and not too far from home. It’s the most beautifully decorated pet shop (specifically, dog shop) I have ever been in and totally reflects the pampered pooches of Cheshire.

I was greeted inside by the most lovely and friendly staff. Although it was a Sunday morning, there were already quite a few other pups in store and the staff were genuinely interested in each. Every dog and their owner were greeted with big smiles and a pat and the back and tummy tickles (well, the owners not so much!) before being helped with their request. They even hold puppy parties most weeks!

As well as a beautiful shop selling premium dog treats and luxury pet accessories, Barkers of Wilmslow is also a top Dog Groomers. They specialise in giving dogs a proper spa experience as well as all the grooming needs they might have. I usually bathe Sonny at home with specialist pug soap (he’s very precious to me!) and having never taken him to a groomers before I was unsure what to expect. However, as soon as I stepped inside I felt instantly reassured he was in great hands.

Barkers of Wilmslow treated Sonny to a full Dog Grooming and Spa Experience, starting with a 5 Star Full Body Groom. He was also pampered with extra spa treatments including a Pawdicure (claw trim and oil applied), a Deep Sea Mud Bath (I’ve not even been treated to one of those yet – how spoilt!) and a Fresh Breath Treatment (which I can confirm really works!). Barkers also listened to my own concerns of Sonny’s shedded and recommended that instead of getting him trimmed – which might mess up the growing pattern of his double coat – completed a De-Shed Treatment on him.

As you can see, Sonny absolutely loved living the life of pampered Wilmslow pooch! He was so excited to feel clean and pampered and loved his special treatment; I could tell as he was so excited he was running around and kept giving us kisses! From my point of view, I was also delighted with the service – not only were the staff knowledgeable and passionate about dogs, Sonny smelt the best he ever has and his fur was so soft he looked like a little fluffy owl baby. The results also lasted for a month!

If like me you only want the best for your fur baby, I would highly recommend a visit to Barkers of Wilmslow for a dog grooming. I am not sure I would trust Sonny with anyone else now – the service was top notch and I am already planning my next visit. Thank you Barkers, for being so kind to my cherub.
