Today I’m in all black everrrythang. Yeah, I find style important but I find keeping warm equally as important! This Black Poncho and Faux Leather Jeans combo does the trick for both, and it’s equally easy to dress down by replacing your heels with a pair of winter boots. Hey, it’s not getting any nearer to Summer in Manchester so my winter clothes are in it for the long run this year. Who ever said there was anything wrong with a bit of faux fur and tassles in Spring? I personally find ponchos a nice alternative to a jacket in Spring, but, if they’re not quite your style, keep reading…
Yeah, I love a poncho; I really like how you can throw one on over a pair of jeans or leggings and it always looks like you’ve made an effort (although you might not necessarily have done!). However, I know they aren’t for everyone. They’re a little hit and miss, can swamp your body shape, and arguably – although I loved wearing this outfit – I have to admit that isn’t my most flattering look.
If ponchos aren’t for you, I’d go for a nice spring jacket. However much we all want to believe it’s warm as soon as the sun pops out, chances are that the temperature isn’t quite there yet! At least, it isn’t in Manchester! Ditch your winter coat and go for a Spring Jacket instead. For Spring Summer 2016, camel, pale blues and greys are a big hit and needn’t break the bank. If you’re stuck as to where to look, I know that MandM Direct have a ton of lovely outwear clothes available for accessorising on a sunny Spring Day.
So kittens, what are you choosing to cover your shoulders with this Spring? Are you braving the cold (not me!) or admitting defeat to your winter coat? Leave me a comment below and let me know – plus, if you have any cute ideas for looking good whilst keeping warm, I’d love to know.
