Boohoo Waterfall Jacket Outfit

On Saturday Boohoo invited me to take part in Manchester International Festival 2015. It’s a huge cultural festival that takes place in Manchester every two years and is kinda a big deal, so only fitting that hailing from Manchester themselves, huge fashion brand Boohoo should take part in the festivities too! They invited me to see FlexN at the Old Granada studios (more on that here) and ready for a night on the town, it was only fitting that I wore an all Boohoo outfit, too. So, here it is.

For the main part of my outfit, I wanted to go with something pretty yet practical. It might be July, but we live in Manchester, and it rains for days (as it did in these pictures – can you tell from the wet pavement?!), so for my main piece I chose this Belted Waterfall Coat*. It is such a classic fit – a maxi length, ties at the waist and skims over the hips. I can see this going with pretty much anything throughout Autumn Winter; all black errrything, even in summer.

As I knew I would be wearing the coat as the main event, I chose some other monochrome items to compliment the look. I decided to go for something else which I knew would get a lot of wear, so I picked this stripy oversized blouse*. I love a good shirt and for me, the baggier the better – I wear them pretty much every day for work and they are just so easy to go from day to night, so it seemed like the perfect option for me.

For accessories, I kept them pretty simple and just mixed in some metallics with the monochrome. I must also admit that Boohoo kindly sent me some gorgeous tailored shorts* that I picked to wear with the outfit – unfortunately I think I was over-estimating Manchester’s ability to have a summer, as despite being the middle of July, it was of course pouring down! I am sure you will see a lot of photos of me wearing them on my cruise anyway… Only 32 days to go!
