Checked Coat and Flared Trousers

With Spring just around the corner (well, I guess it’s technically here), we should finally be getting used to a little bit of warmer weather in Manchester. However, although it’s not rained in a day or two – #blessed – it is still pretty chilly and we have had a cold chill in the air, which means that wearing your ‘big coat’ is still somewhat of a must. To compromise, I’ve been opting for this checked duster jacket from Primark to see me through the first cold days of Spring.

At £35, this jacket from Primark was a bargain and is light enough (yet warm enough) to keep the chill off for the first days of April. Paired with flared trousers, boots and a baker boy hat, it has something quite 70’s about it which I enjoy. Plus, it’s easy to dress up or down with either heels or trainers and will work just as well with blue jeans for a more casual look.
