Daisy Street Blogger Event

Hey kittens!

Today I’m bringing you another event review and Follow Me Around video blog. I really love being able to take y’all with me to all my fashion and PR events and letting you see what I get up to. Hopefully y’all enjoy it, too and if so, please don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel for free!

Just before Christmas I was lucky enough to be invited to Daisy Street’s Christmas blogger event to preview their Winter collections – y’all might think this post is a little outdated, but never fear, because all the clothes are still available on the Daisy Street website and I will personally be wearing their party gear until Summer!

It was hosted on a Thursday evening and I visited the event straight from work. Although I felt a little rushed and windswept, I was welcomed in to a Daisy Street butter cream cupcake and all the champagne my little kitten heart desired (all within reason, kittens!), which instantly relaxed me.

It was held in an underground club in the Northern Quarter, which, if you’re not familiar with Manchester, is undoubtedly the most trendy area of the city. The venue was 2022, a basement bar in an old mill and personally I thought it was a very quirky and suitable place to hold the event. Music was blaring, there was a bar and it was a very sociable place to be – perfect for meeting and chatting with lots of other lovely bloggers!

The event was hosted by PunkPR who did a fabulous job of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable (not to mention putting on a good old party!).

The event was fabulous and it was wonderful to preview the Daisy Street party wear collection. What really struck me with the collection was it’s wonderful value for money – for twenty quid you can get a great fashion statement piece of good quality material. What more does a kitten want?

Highlights of the collection included disco pants in every colours (the biggest trend of the minute), sequins gallore and lots of faux fur – just a few of my favourite things! They also showcased a fierce shoe collection featuring skyscraper heels, studs and glitter, as well as cute handbags and outerwear. A bonus was that we were each given a little clothes tag to choose an item to review; I think this is a great touch as it not only encourages blog activity but gives us bloggers the chance to give an honest review – stay tuned for mine!

I was also interviewed for the Daisy Street youtube video and photographed on the Daisy Street branded wall. Before leaving, I signed a huge whiteboard with a little thank you message and was even given a goody bag!
