A fashion blogger originally, and a fashion blogger through and through, I am partial to a spot of style challenges. That is, a brand sets a blogger a task to create a particular look, and said blogger makes damn sure their outfit is styled up to that look. So, when Quiz Clothing asked me whether I would like to choose an outfit from their website for date night, I jumped at the chance.
Supplied with a pair of nude heels, a camel duster coat and of course, the most beautiful 1950’s style floral prom dress you’ve ever seen, I was good to go…
This satin dress is so beautiful and perfect for date night style – it’s a 1950’s bright pastel prom dress dream, and at £65 I think it’s a bargain considering how timeless and effortless the fit is. It is fantastic quality for the price and the skirt of the dress even comes underlined with a petticoat to make sure that the dress flows in the most stunning way. Honestly, I felt incredible wearing this, and when you’re about to go out on a date, that’s exactly how you need to feel! To compliment the dress, I chose simple accessories (well, as simple as you can call a floral crown) to aid my date night style. Due to the print of the dress being such a bright and busy pattern, I opted for nude shoes to elongate my legs and not detract from the colouring. Similarly, I chose this camel coloured coat for the same reason, as well as it’s classic hourglass shape that finishes off the retro look completely. Both the shoes and the coat can also be worn with pretty much any other outfit due to their neutral colours and classic shape, which makes them great invest pieces too.
So, how do you style a dress up for date night? I think just like this. Now, who’s gonna take me out?

I love the 1950’s style, fit & flare! They are so slimming, especially on a girl like me who has a larger bust but tiny waist! You absolutely rock it & that camel coat is something else!
