DIY Beauty Treatments to Save You Money

Beauty doesn’t have to come with a big price tag when you have the right tools and know how you can create a salon experience right at your home.

You can have glowing skin and perfect nails. DIY treatments are a fun and cost-effective way that you can pamper yourself and not break the bank. Here are some of the best treatments you can do on your own.

At-Home Facials for Glowing Skin

You don’t need a spa appointment in order to refresh your skin. You can start with a gentle exfoliator made from sugar and honey and remove dead skin cells yourself. You can follow that up with a homemade face mask of your choice.

There are many out there and all you have to do is make a valiant search of the internet based on your skin type until you find something that you think will work for you.  After your face mask you can steam your face with hot water in a few drops of essential oil for a few minutes. You can finish that off with your favorite moisturizer or facial oil. Doing this at least once per week can improve your skin and reduce breakouts.

DIY Hair Treatments for Healthy Locks

Salon hair treatments can be quite expensive but they’re simple ways to revive your hair right in your own home. One favorite that many people use is a coconut oil mask.

You can apply warm coconut oil from root to tip and leave it on for at least 30 minutes before you wash it out. For extra shine you can rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar diluted with water after you shampoo it. If your hair starts to feel dry or brittle you can mix an egg yolk with olive oil and apply it as a conditioning treatment.

These DIY hair solutions will help to put moisture back into your strands and strengthen them. It will also enhance shine without the salon price tag. Incorporating these treatments into your weekly routine will keep your hair looking its best while you are on a budget.

Nails and Brows Without the Salon Bill

Instead of visiting the nail salon every few weeks, consider doing your own manicure and pedicure at home. Try to invest in a quality nail file, long lasting nail polish and a cuticle pusher.

These are the basic equipment that you need to start doing your nails yourself. If you love a more professional look you can take a beginners gel course. These can teach you the skills you need to get salon quality results at home

For your brows, trimming and tweezing will go a long way. You can use an eyebrow stencil to fill in the sparse areas. Fill them in with a brow pencil or powder. Try applying a castor oil treatment nightly because it can encourage them to grow. With just a bit of practice you will be able to maintain your nails and your brows in ways you never thought possible.
