Filofax Bloggers’ Challenge & Shoes Giveaway

Hey kittens! How are y’all doing this Wednesday? Happy Hump Day! (Not 100% sure what that means but apparently people like to say that on a Wednesday. Hopefully it’s nothing rude). Just a quick update from my end of the internet today – plus, the chance to win a new set of heels!

As y’all can probably guess from the title, I’m delighted to announce that I’m currently taking part in Filofax’s blogger challenge. As a personal fan of the Filofax I was over the moon to be asked to participte. Having received my beloved red A5 organiser as a present for my 21st, I couldn’t be without it now – it really is a priceless gift and is pretty much responsible for my being able to juggle full time work, weekly evening events and several blog posts a week. So, when I was asked to style this little red Original I jumped at the chance. Since receiving my own, the Filofax has had a mini-makeover; the colour is a little more vibrant, it now includes a proud union jack and comes in real leather.

The Filofax bloggers challenge set us the task of styling a Filofax of our choice in accordance to a decade from the 1920’s – 1990’s, with the most “likes” on Facebook to win the competition (if y’all are feeling nice, please could you possibly “like” my picture here?). A nice little task to show the heritage of the British brand! And, as a vintage fashion enthusiast I jumped at the chance to dress up in my favourite 1950’s “housewife” style. A load of effort went into this whole production to get the look as historically accurate as possible – the intricate hairstyle, the legit vintage dress, the wartime props and, of course, the shoes!

Choosing authentic-looking retro shoes can sometimes be a little tricky, but these classic heels from Ravel were perfect for the choice; nothing shouts vintage like a thin strap and relatively chunky heels. And, as a midweek treat, I’m giving y’all the chance to win a pair of shoes of your choice from Ravel!
