Floral Kimono and Flared Trousers

Dressing for work in summer is really difficult. Looking smart, but keeping cool, is quite the feat! Despite living in midi dresses which have truly been lifesavers in this unprecedented Manchester heat, a good Floral Kimono and Flared Trousers do the job too. In fact, I prefer to wear these for a meeting as there’s something about a pair of trousers that makes me feel kind girl-boss and profssional, and this floral kimono is smart yet cool enough to compliment the look.

As this oriental floral print on the kimono is so patterned, I decided to keep my accessories simple in order to fully compliment the look and not draw attention away from the print. I love black and gold accessories, and so aside from my simple Manchester bee necklace, I just popped on some black and gold heels and my new watch to finish the look from a super cool new Scandi brand.

The brand in question is a new Scandinavian watch brand, called Nordgreen, born out of Copenhagen, that has partnered with the famous Jakob Wagner, designer of Bang & Olufsen headsets, to deliver the minimalistic approach of the city, combined with its ethical values, in a superb timepiece. The black and gold details on this watch are chic yet classic and complete my outfit perfectly.
