Hey kittens, hope you’re all okay! We’re well into December now (lots of advent calendar choccies eaten I hope!) and hopefully you’ve got all your main family and friends sorted, present-wise. However, there will always be one gal who you want to find the perfect gift for – your BFFL! So today’s Christmas Guide series is all about your best mate. N’aww…
Party Dress
There’s nothing like a good night out with your best girl friends, so if you’re stuck for ideas, why not buy her a new dress for your next night out? Although you think you might know her well, clothes are SO subjective, you don’t want to risk buying something too expensive in case she doesn’t like it. My tip is to look online, there’s tons of website selling sequin numbers and cheap skater dresses, so you’re bound to find something pretty and in price-range.
The Perfect Fit
If you’re struggling to find the party dress to give your bestie the perfect fit, I can highly recommend the services of Love My Figure, Love My Fashion. The website is a genius idea based on buying the latest fashionable dresses for your body shape – their measurement scale makes it easy for you to find your own body shape type, then all you need to do is shop the products in your category. This would make such a thoughtful gift for your loved one!
Sleep Over Set
Erm, what says “best friends” more than a sleepover? Plan your perfect girlie night with this beautiful set from Korres. I’ve invested in a couple of these Korres gift set beauties for my fav girls at Christmas (hope you’re shielding your eyes, girls!) as I love them so much. This particular set contains everything you need for an unexpected sleepover, including moisturiser, lip balm, shower gel and cleanser.
Hair Straighteners
So, you’ve had your sleepover and now you need something for the morning after a night of pampering – some hair straighteners! Obviously, GHD are the market leaders and although expensive, you can’t really argue with quality. Go for something extra special with one of these limited edition jewel sets.
Friendship Bracelets
If you’re looking for something cute and traditional for your BFFL, you really can’t beat a friendship bracelet. My two top picks vary in budget but are both wonderful finds in their own way. For a special investment, go for a lovely piece of jewellery from Ti Sento Milano, (such as this black beaded number,) who have recently opened a new store in the Trafford Centre – perfect for popping in on your lunch break to find a beautiful gift. I have a bracelet from their myself and its a lovely investment piece.
My second choice, for a lower budget, would be a specially designed friendship bracelet from Lucky Eyes. These are at a reasonable price range and are a sophisticated take on traditional rope friendship bracelets – this black one with the peace sign is a super cute version. For a quirky look, pile a couple on to your wrist for serious arm candy.
Quirky Keyring
A keyring is always a practical present, but now Keaze have made it pretty too! With a range of fashion based key rings, designed for clipping on to easy to find places (such as your bag, folders or coat) they have changed my life! Gone are the days of scrambling around my gigantic bucket bag for my keys after a night out – I can find them straight away. My favourite is the black and white Flower Girl set. They also come already gift packaged – a huge bonus at this time of year – and include matching patterned keys ready for cutting yourself. I’ve fallen in love with the concept and as a small local Manchester-based business, I am keen to support them in any way I can. Definitely give them a go if you’re looking for an unusual gift from an independent.
Festive Fashion
I’ve already suggested a Christmas jumper as a great gift idea, but how about something less holiday specific? Try this super cute winter T-Shirt from Brat and Suzie, which could be worn all year long if you so desired. The sweet polar bear design is festive enough to be perfect for this time of year but flexible enough to be paired with some jeans and Converse all year round. It’s 100% cotton so is fab quality, and if this design isn’t for you, there’s tons of other illustrated items to choose from.
