Gift Guide: Stocking Fillers
Hey kittens. Eeek – its less than a week ’til Christmas and I can’t be the only one that’s nearing the end of my advent calendar (just another bonus of this festive season!). By now, hopefully my
Christmas Gift Guide series will have given you enough ideas to get the presses for the lads and ladies in your lives, so for this, my final instalment, I’m giving you the cherry on top of the Christmas cake; stocking fillers.
Winter Warmers
Not gonna lie, it’s pretty chilly out there and so if you’re looking for a little something extra for someone in your life, try hats, gloves or scarves. My favourite winter warmers at the minute are from
Capology, who do quirky designer clothing which won’t break the back.
This leopard print beanie would make a fab gift!
Gadgets
Okay so, sometimes gifts can be practical too and a little travel gadget or pocket toolbox will come in handy for everyone, especially the men in your life that like a little fiddly about with bits and bobs (not an innuendo). I think this pocket toolkit was originally made for
womens road bikes and even though you won’t catch me on a bike any time soon, even have a little mini kit stored away in my room somewhere (gasp!). You never know when you might need it
Travel Skincare Kits
As y’all know from my previous blog posts, I’m a huge fan of
Elemis and their Fresh Skin range for younger skin. They do a range of travel kits and these make a great little extra something as a stocking filler, plus, you can test if their range really works for you.
Festive Nails
If you’re buying for a girl (or a buy, if you’re into that) go for some festive nail polish – and what screams festive more than glitter? I can personally always bank on a sparkly little bottle in my own stocking and always look forward to what colour it might be. My favourites these year are these two little numbers from Topshop Make-up’s latest collection –
Your Hands In Mime is white shreds (almost like snow) and
Nails In Brazil is an amazing holographic glitter.
Claire’s Accessories
For fun, funky Christmas accessories, your one-stop shop is definitely Claire’s. I have fond memories of this store from years ago and after seeing their up-and-coming SS14 collection, they’re set to be reaffirmed as one of my favourite accessories brands. These cute
Christmas tree hair clips are a quirky festive treat – I’m buying myself some this year.
DIY Christmas Crackers
Tatty Devine are one of my favourite jewellery brands and this set of
DIY jewellery Christmas crackers are top of my Christmas list. Each cracker comes with a different motif on the front demonstrating the necklace you’ll be building yourself – such a cute touch and a great alternative to tacky Christmas crackers.
Christmas Socks
Every stocking needs one thing – socks! Definitely check out House of Fraser for your posh stocking filler items, such as socks. They have a great range of brands at a load of different prices –
these stripy Henri Lloyd socks are perfect for your man.
Festive Pyjamas
If I had to pinpoint one thing I will receive every single year for Christmas (and look forward to all year) it’s pyjamas. A fresh pair of Christmas eve jammies are one of my yule-tide highlights and I like greeting Santa in a pair of new ones. This year I’m looking to
Boux Avenue for my new PJ’s, especially as they come in a sweet matching clothes bag.
Seasonal Handbag
As y’all know, I’m a huge fan of Brit Stitch (you’ll have seen them many times on my blog) and their range just keeps getting bigger and better. However, in this case, my chosen stocking item is of smaller size; this Mini Milkman makes a perfect clutch bag for Christmas parties or doubles up as a bigger purse. Plus, Poppy Red is a super festive red.
