Right now, the liquid lipstick game is stronger than ever. If you’ve been a regular reader of mine, you’ll know that liquid lipsticks are my total go-to for adding colour on an everyday basis; you just can’t beat the staying power, pigmentation and matte finish. With high end and drugstore liquid lipsticks competing left, right and centre in this highly popular makeup market, I’ve recently discovered a new contender in the game. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets.
There are 18 shades in total and I have been lucky enough to try out five. I have been totally impressed with the formula across all of them; they are inspired by the Maetsro Fusion Makeup and the Lip Maestro Velvet Lip Colour (two of Armani’s most popular makeup products) and the dedication to creating something new and unusual is evident. They even include an applicator that has been created specifically for this product and won’t be found anywhere else, which makes applying these without any smudges super easy.
Above I have swatched (left to right) shades 302 Hollywood (an orange toned red), 600 Front Row (a deep red) and 601 Night Viper (a dark berry with pink undertones). Hollywood is my favourite as it is bright, highly pigmented and bolder than your usual classic red lip.
Above I have swatched the Lip Magnets in 506 Fusion (a pinky nude) and 602 Night Viper (a dark purple). Each of these do go on, as the name suggests, like magnets to your lips. They are pigmented but with a thin, almost lighter than air formula that you really can’t feel on your lips. It’s incredible.
At £27 each they are not cheap but I must admit, they are totally worth it. If you are looking for that one shade to take you from day to night, all day, every day, then you are likely to find it here. They’re worth every penny.
