Hey kitty cats! Hope you’re all good. Today’s post is a little bit delayed but I couldn’t not share it with you – check out my review of the Glamorous and STYLE etc Girls Night Out…
Now, I’m a little date with this blog post. In fact, I’m a lot late! This event was a couple of weeks ago and although I’ve been dying to share it with y’all, I’ve just had a hard time fitting it in. However, I hope you can forgive me, because it’s better late than never, eh?!
Sakura is a celebrity hotspot in the centre of Manchester and on the night, didn’t disappoint either. Guests included local golden girl actress Chelsea Healey, now infamous X-Factor judge and pop singer Tulisa and an array of other North West celebs. It was a fun mix of bloggers and celebrities – unusual, but fun to mingle so closely with such big TV names.
The aim of the night was to show off the Spring/Summer 2013 and Autumn/Winter 2014 collections from Glamorous. Although I am lucky enough to own some of my favourite Spring/Summer items from Glamorous – check out me wearing my vintage floral top here and my gorgeous graphic print shirt here – this was my first ever run-in with the brand. I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I was with the quality of the items; all of the items were amazing quality and felt so expensive! Well, the fact I now own so many items goes to show a lot about how much I loved them!
The Spring/Summer items were all very print based, with lots of colour and clashing patterns. They’re all very out there, but not unwearable. I mean, y’all have already seen me style some of my items and I’ve already got some more lined up to show you very soon. Although some of the trends I wouldn’t wear (including neon, tribal prints and crop tops), these are inarguable very popular crazes at the moment and Glamorous have certainly fulfilled expectations by supplying these.
Although I loved the Spring/Summer items, I was infatuated with the Aumtumn/Winter 2014 items. I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to these bad boys hitting the shops. Think Zara mixed with Topshop at New Look prices. Yup, I can tell you’re excited! The fabrics used are of such high quality I can’t believe and are hitting so many up-and-coming trends. I wish I could tell you more, but I guess you’ll just have to wait and see!
The event also boasted a nail bar and hair and make-up section. Unfortunately, these services were way too busy for me to get in edgeways, as I would have loved to get my paws did! We were also served Sushi canapés, with champagne cocktails and wasabi dips. We were certainly looked after and it was definitely a venue suitable for celebrities!
