Grey Check Two Piece Suit

One of the things I love most about dressing for Autumn is that it’s finally time to get the matching two-piece trouser suits back out of my wardrobe! I always find matching blazers and trousers a little ‘too much’ (both heat and pattern-wise) for Summer, but as soon as the weather starts to cool down, I can’t wait to rotate them back round to the forefront of my wardrobe. From bright tartan trouser suits to pillar-box red suits to simple black suits with flared trousers, I simply just can’t get enough. Today I’m wearing this oversized, grey check trouser suit number – perfect for those sunny, cooler days.

Paired with simple a T-shirt and pair of Converse, I find this is often the best way of keeping a trouser suit looking cool and casual. Sure, they work just as well with a blouse and pair of court heels for a smart meeting or after-work event, but for days in the office (and popping out to meet friends for lunch), your favourite pair of kicks work just as well! There’s something about Converse that help make any outfit both look put together and laid back at the same time, and as you all know, I’m a firm advocate of trainers in the workplace.
