Gifts for Him by
lilykitten
Hey kittens, we’re officially in December – woohoo! It’s time; the Christmas tree’s gone up, the festive songs are on the radio and the mulled wine is warming nicely. You’ve (hopefully) made a dint in your Christmas shopping and have your main giftees sorted, but now you’re struggling as to what to get the man in your life… So, what better time than to get together the fourth of my
Christmas Guides up and running?
Man Perfume
If there’s one quality I look for in a man, it’s a nice smell. (Okay, so that might be slightly exaggerated, but you can’t tell me you don’t like to inhale the sweet smell of a masculine somebody?) Although aftershave can often be on the pricey side, it’s a lovely gift and there are bargains to be had online. For
cheap perfume for Christmas I like to check out TJ Hughes – they are even stocking the male version, Spicebomb, of my favourite perfume of the moment, Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf.
Cleaning Stuff
Second to a good man perfume, is good man cleaning stuff. Although every gal is pretty much guaranteed to love a good bath set – I know I look forward to stocking up on bubbly bath equipment at this time of year – its more risky with a bloke. However, go for a good luxury, masculine gift set and he won’t be disappointed. Personally, I love
this Tatsu themed Rituals set; it smells amazing and the packaging is blue enough to pass as manly. Can’t go wrong.
Novelty Mug
Yeah, who doesn’t love a novelty mug? Men are so hard to buy for, but you can pretty much guarantee any guy you’re buying for likes a good cup of tea. And if not, they’re pretty much all guaranteed to drink at some stage, right?! You can’t go wrong with a drinking utility and I like to pick ones that appeal to their sense of humour.
This star mug from Ginger Fox is that shows galaxy constellations as the drink warms – ooooh, sciencey like.
Designer Accessories
Y’all know I love a good designer accessory and that’s the same for the men in my life. Although some might be resistant, there’s pretty much an accessory for every guy and they’re a lot easier than trying to find the right size in shoes or clothes. For my Gift Guide, I’ve chosen these
Hugo Boss Socks from Psyche – what guy doesn’t expect socks at Christmas – for a practical present with an added bit of luxury.
Psyche sell designer clothes and accessories so they’re a good place to look for ideas.
Pocket Game
I like to surround myself with men with a good sense of humour. Whether it be family, friends or more, I love someone that can make me laugh and doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
This Genius Test, also from Ginger Fox, is a fun stocking filler or after Christmas dinner game. Who doesn’t think they’re a genius, right?
A Personal Touch
Finally, if I’m looking to make an impression on someone special, I like to go for a personal touch over price. You can’t beat a good Instagram photo and if you’re wanting to show you care, get some pics of yourselves together printed. These
prints from Polargram are an unusual (and casual!) alternative present – I can personally recommend them for their fab service!
