Happy Galentine’s Day 2018

Happy Galentine’s Day 2k18! Gone are the days where Valentine’s Day rules the roost (well, almost) – now it’s all about the gal pals and celebrating the love of your girlfriends. And yourself, of course. Because as cliché as it sounds, if you can’t love yourself first, then no one is gonna be able to love you after, right? And also it’s the perfect excuse for gifting yourself, ha. Treat yo’self!

Although I am single this year, I have had the best Valentine’s Day I have had probably, well, ever! I feel so loved. Way more loved than I ever have with any ex boyfriends and truly spoilt. I’ve said it before and I’ve said it again, 2017/2018 has been the year of new friends for me and my circle feels so full. I feel very lucky.

Remember ladies, you don’t need no man (or woman) to complete you, but having a really lovely close circle of angels truly helps. This year I have received four Galentine’s cards (plus one from my baby Sonny of course!), a surprise balloon that turned up on my desk at work, flowers left outside my door (admittedly these were from a boy) and bunches of roses from my best friend. It’s not all about gifts though, it’s about giving too, and I have loved spending a day on Moonpig sending out surprise cards to my favourite galentines who might need a reminder about how awesome they are.

Above all – I have my angel baby Sonny who gives me unconditional love. I’ve never known a love like I have for this little pug pumpkin and every day I am so grateful for having him as my shadow.
