Hourglass Cosmetics Launch in Selfridges Exchange Square, Manchester

This time last week, the famous Beauty Hall in Selfridges Exchange Square, Manchester, gained another world renown luxury beauty brand – Hourglass Cosmetics. Founded in LA, Hourglass Cosmetics is a luxury make-up brand famed for their pigmented makeup and high-end, cruelty-free cosmetics. To celebrate, I was invited to meet their UK Education Manager, Heidi Whittle, to talk through their range.

I was already familiar with Hourglass Cosmetics as a distant admired. Their beyond famous Ambient Light collection – the most beautiful highlighters in the world, I’m told – are a cult beauty favourite and well known to beauty bloggers all over the world. I had also had my makeup done once by an MUA using their Veil Fluid Makeup but had never quite coughed up the money for the price tag, so I was delighted to be invited to find out more straight from the horses mouth (an appropriate phrase considering their new advertising campaign featuring a human alongside a horse to represent their cruelty-free status).

Selfridges in Exchange Square Manchester is now home to Hourglass Cosmetic’s full range of cosmetics and the zig-zag light up counter is exclusive to the UK and modelled on their LA store, complete with Californian succulent plants! I learnt about some of their best sellers, such as their Veil Translucent Setting Powder and Veil Mineral Primer, which both help to create a flawless finish both above and below foundation. Other best sellers include their Caution Extreme Lash Mascara which comes in full size (in amazing gold chrome packaging) and in travel size (in black), which delivers up to 400% more volume on the lashes. After using this on my own lashes since I visited, I can absolutely vouch for how amazing this is in both of increasing length and volume and I am totally hooked. This will be a repurchase for sure!
