When a huge parcel came through the post for me and I couldn’t work out quite what it might be (surely I hadn’t spent THAT much money on Topshop Onlien this week?!) I figured it had to be from Hannah. And let me tell ya – the girl did good! She managed to pick an outfit for me that was definitely within my comfort zone, whilst still putting her style stamp on it!
However, I may have a confession to make… I didn’t quite wear ALL the items Hannah sent me (oops – sorry!)…
Hannah was so, so generous in her parcel – as well as a complete outfit, she also kitted me out with appropriate accessories and beauty items – but there was one garm I just couldn’t gel with; the skirt.
Instead of jeans, Hannah sent me a River Island mini skirt to wear with the look (and I totally understand why – it goes with the pale pink colour theme and was stunning in itself), but on me? Not so stunning. A peril of having long legs: mini skirts aren’t the one. And so I switched it up with a pair of skinnies and popped on one of my fav hats to get back into my comfort zone. A bit of me, a bit of her all in one look!
So, what about my parcel to Hannah?
I chose all of my items for Hannah from ASOS – a huge one stop shop and it allowed me to choose all items I thought would suit her, as well as exploring appropriate accessories, shoes and even a cute kitten themed handbag(!) all in one place. Once it arrived, I gave all items my seal of approval, popped in a handwritten note for her, and it was time to send it direct to the lady herself!
Having never used In Post before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have visited the Post Office plenty of times to collect or post parcels, but to be honest, it’s a massive pain; I work full time, so trying to visit when the Post Office is actually open is a task in itself! However, In Post is available to use 24/7 which is MUCH more convinient. I actually popped along after work which was a huge relief in itself; my local post office is only open during my working hours and until 12 noon on a Saturday (and who’s up before 12 on a weekend?!).
Prior to my visit, I booked in online which my local postage depot would be (this one only 5 mins from my home) and printed off a postage label, which I stuck to the parcel. Driving up to the In Post unit, I was able to park for free right outside. I simply scanned in the barcode on the postage label on the front of my parcel and the work was already done; an In Post locker opened ready, I popped in my parcel and shut the door which locked automatically. Then I was good to go!
My whole #InPostInFashion experience was just SO easy. Way, way easier than TRYING to get to the Post Office when it’s open. A lot more convenient than having to wait in all day for a courier collection. And a lot more tolerable than visiting an out-of-town postal depot on an industrial estate and having to flunder around looking for a parcel. Honestly, I would definitely recommend this service and I already know I will be using this again.
Thanks to In Post for making this post (blog post, as well as actual post – ha!) happen, and thank you to Hannah for her excellent choice in fashion – you guys are stars!
