July 2015 Favourites

Hello, August! Wow. Honestly can’t believe how fast this year is going. Anyway, as it’s now the start of August, it’s time to look back on my July 2015 Favourites, incorporating my favourite fashion, beauty, skincare, fragrance and lifestyle bits and bobs throughout the whole of June. Also, I thought I would take the opportunity to mention a couple more bits and bobs I’ve been loving in July…

One (or two!) of those things are these beautiful high heels from Ruby Shoo*, which you may have seen over on my Instagram page earlier in July. They are so unusual; such a lovely shape and the damask pattern is so classic. With the majority of the material being velevet, these really do feel like luxury for your tootsies, which I am all about! The subtle details on these will make them perfect for going with almost any outfit – the colours aren’t too striking that they would overpower any other shade, and the black ties everything back in together. I can’t wait to wear these with an LBD to take a going-out-out-outfit to the next lovely. Plus, the chunky heel makes them super comfortable, which can’t be sniffed at!

Another Manchester restaurant I’ve been loving this month is Five Guys as Ashton Moss. Now, as a non-meat-eater I was dubious after being invited along to try out a lunch for me and four other guys (so there would be five guys dining at Five Guys!). Anyway, I shouldn’t have worried as I had a delicious cheese and vegetable patty with the most delicious spicy fries cooked in Peanut Oil. My four other guys all had various other meat burgers (which are totally customisable with almost any topping and any amount of extras!) and reported back that they were delicious. However my favourite part had to be the drinks – aside from the American-esque drinks machine which produces fizzy drinks in over 120 flavours, the milkshakes were incredible! I opted for chocolate milkshake (duh!) which I would buy again and again, whilst one of my friends tried a strawberry and bacon milkshake on a recommendation (yes, bacon in a milkshake, really). The restaurant was so fun and I will definitely be buying a milkshake from there again!

Time for one final fav… Aside from my sunny Sunday outfit planning (that flat lay though!) these nude shoes from Lunar Shoes* are an absolute wardrobe essential. Unlike the statement heels I mentioned earlier, these are absolute classics: the nude colour and feminine shape will go with absolutely any outfit. They’re just timeless. Although they’re high, the ankle strap and chunky block heel actually make them really comfortable. I can’t wait to take them on my summer holiday and take some Outfit of the Day pics in them! Keep your eyes peeled for that.
