Get The Label Nike Workout Clothes
There’s been a change in my workout regime recently, and more importantly (to us fashion bloggers, at least!) a change in my workout gear to reflect this. In January, I took it upon myself to start running; well, walking quickly, trying to jog, panting, then finally, running 5k. Phew, I did it guys. An d I’m still going, but my workout gear has evolved as my fitness has, too.
In January, I was all about fashion over fitness. Just starting out, I wanted the basic kit I’d need, but I wanted it to look good, to try and help me feel as good as possible as I was panting and sweating my way down the road. Yeah, it’s not a glamorous thought, but trust me, the reality was far worse!
I started off with this basic kit above, which I just sourced from various supermarkets on my weekly shops. The trainers were from Tesco and cost £8, a massive bargain and a good enough basic to get me started on my journey when I didn’t need anything better. The top, leggings and sports bra were all from ASDA and cost between £4 – £8 each. Cheap as chips, and whilst they looked cute for a while they certainly didn’t stand the test of time. However, it was good enough for me – I just wanted to get started and hey, I didn’t know if I would continue on my fitness journey or give up…
…But I didn’t give up. I carried on and completed my 0 – 5k app. And as I continue to ‘improve’ (read: try and be a good person) my workout gear has had to improve along with me. My new and more functional kit is reflective of the evolution of my fitness journey. It’s a lot less fashion focused, and a lot more fitness focused – although still pretty fierce, I think!
My trainers were the first upgrade I needed. Whilst my old trainers looked cute, they didn’t do much in terms of foot support and so I naturally needed to update to some real life running trainers. Going into a shop to try them on was a surreal moment for me and pretty overwhelming, but these Nike trainers only cost £38 and so I think I did pretty well. My sports bra was £8 from M&S in the sale and a lot more ‘supportive’ – you sporty ladies know what I mean – and my arm band which I use to hold my phone in to monitor my performance when I run was £1.50 from Primark.
The biggest upgrade to my wardrobe I think has been my actual workout clothes. The ones I am loving right now are these Nike jogging pants and a hoodies* from
Get The Label. Get The Label is an online fashion and fitness store which prides itself in selling designer gear at a fraction of the cost – for me, it was a no brainer to get my workout clothes from there. As someone who wants buying fitness clothes to be as easy and affordable as possible, whilst still getting the support I need in my garments, Get The Label was an obvious choice. If you are looking for sports labels that won’t cost the world – definitely check them out!
