Lookfantastic Illamasqua Launch Party

A few weeks ago, I was delighted to be invited along to be part of the hottest makeup launch this year. Illamasqua, a professional makeup brand known for their creativity and diversity – and hence are a huge love of mine! – have recently launched on Lookfantasic, and to celebrate, there was a major party in store…

The day of the Lookfantastic and Illamasqua launch party started with a select 10 VIP Lookfantastic Beauty Ambassadors being invited to exclusive Illamasqua School of Makeup Artistary. This is where each Illamasqua MUA is carefully trained and we were so delighted to be able to recieve our own makeovers there!

Whilst having our makeup done by the incredible Illamasqua makeup artists, we were able to try out Illamasqua’s favourite products, nibble on some snacks and drink some pink prosecco! Aside from being treated to a makeover from some of the most talented makeup artists in the industry, it was a lovely opportunity to make the most of chatting to the other Lookfantastic Beauty Ambassadors and catching up on all things beauty!

Soon, it was time for the real deal – the Lookfantastic x Illamasqua launch party! With our faces full of the industry’s finest makeup, we headed over to exclusive London venue, Sketch, to get the party started. We were joined with over 100 other Beauty Bloggers and press, drinking prosecco, trying out Illamasqua products and eating some of the tastiest canapes. It was the perfect location for such a creative and unusual brand, and we were all in agreement at how wonderful the event was!

At the event there were also Illamasqua makeup artist stations (to touch up your makeup for the night!), a GIF booth where you could share your animated photobooth pics to the interweb and even reknown tattoo artist James King on hand to give us some Illamasqua x Lookfantastic art. Thankfully, these were just temporary tattoos, as I suspect there might have been a few impulsive inks happening that night if not – me included!

I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this is one of the most incredible blogger events I have ever been to – if not the best!

The coming together of two prestige beauty brands + an elusive London venue x the top beauty enthusiasts in the industry = a recipe for magic.
