Lookfantastic May 2016 Beauty Box #LFHELLO Unboxing

One way I can always tell time is flying by, is when I feel like I’ve just done my monthly Lookfantastic Beauty Box unboxing… Only for it to be time to do the next month’s reveal! As is tradition, today I’m giving you a sneak peek of the Lookfantastic May 2016 Beauty Box, this time called #LFHELLO. Hello, Beautiful.

As ever, the May 2016 edition of the Lookfantastic Beauty Box comes with a varity of beauty products inside, designed to introduce you to a new favourite, so you can try before you buy! There’s usually a mix of sample sized and full sized products, and I’m usually really impressed with the size of the samples included… In fact, I would call them travel size rather than sample size!

Getting straight to the largest item in the #LFBeautyBox this month, the first item I found after I lifted the lid off the box was this full sized Wet Brush. This is hailed as being one of the softest brushes for combing through wet hair, and actually – Bumble and Bumble’s top stylist actually recommended me to use this over a Tangle Teezer for very curly hair. I’ve already used the Wet Brush every day since getting it and it’s definitely the softest brush I’ve ever used.

To help aid dry and tangly hair, this month’s Hello Beautiful box also contains a UNIQ One All in One Hair Treatment by Revlon. Containing a number of benefits to help look after your hair (such as reducing frizz and adding moisture), it smells of coconut which instantly reminds me of summer. This is the perfect size for popping in your handbag for on the go curly hair touch ups.

Another perfect travel sized item is the 15ml pot of Vichy Liftactive Moisturiser. This is an anti-wrinkle product, so ideal if you’re just starting to get into anti-aging and fancy a head start (i.e. me). Vichy is one of my favourite skincare brands so I was delighted to see such a good sample size of this, presented beautifully, too.

There’s also a sachet size of the cult Eve Lom Cleanser, which also contains a small muslin cloth. I’ve already tried another sample of this and adored it, so I am popping this in my overnight bag for my next work stay over, to give myself a lovely hot cloth cleanse to look forward to after a day of London meetings.

One brand I had never heard of before is IOMA, and this month’s box contains a 7 day supply of Optimum Moisture Cream. This is a highly forumalated day and night cream, and each day’s supply comes packaged in an individual capsule. Again, I hate to repeat myself but this would be perfect for travel; ripping one or two off for a few days would be so easy.

For an overnight treatment, there was also the REN Wake Wonderful Night Time Facial, which combines Glycolic and Lactic Acids to provide a whole host of benefits to the skin overnight. I love Ren and although I have tried their day cream and cleanser, this is a new one for me, so I look forward to giving it a go.

The only product I’m not super keen on is the Decléor Intense Nutrition Cream – simply because its a smaller size than I am used to with the usual fab sized samples we get in the Lookfantastic Beauty Box. However, I do love Decléor and this month you get the chance of recieving one of three variations of this sample.   

As ever, the Lookfantastic May 2016 Beauty Box #LFHELLO edition contains a lovely Beauty Box magazine, providing you with info about all the products, wish lists, education on Spring skincare and even celebrity get the look tips. There is also always a free Elle Magazine which is a lovely treat, and so it’s easy to see why this box is worth £53 this month. At £11.25 for a rolling monthly subscription, it’s certainly a lovely treat to gift yourself every four weeks.
